Frosty the Snowman

Written by my friend Dong Wood

Since I can remember frosty the snowman has always been my favorite animated Christmas special. I am now 27 years old and I have enjoyed it since I was a child. I always find it amazing how frosty came to life from a hat being on his head and brought uncontrollable cheer to the kids and others in the neighborhood. He was so cheerful with a large smile; it rubbed of on me just by watching it. I also found it to be very funny how everytime professor Hinkle tried to get his hat back, he failed.

When I was younger, my mom and I would watch it together and after years and years of begin her to keep up with when it came on, she got tired and finally recorded for me. After years and years of moving, I finally lost it. It's ok though because now that I have Direct TV offers, my children and I watch it together every year together. The best thing about this is the fact that I still enjoy and so do my children. It always comes on the last two weeks of Christmas several times and we watch it everytime.

It sure is nice to know that my children get a kick out of the same Christmas specials I enjoy and sometimes they enjoy them a little more.

Broadside Car Crash

My husband was involved in a car crash. Somebody was carelessly driving and hit him. It was a young woman who ran a red light and broadsided him. He was fortunate enough that he only lost his car. If the woman hit him a little closer to his seat; he would have died. So although my husband's car is a total wrecked we are thankful that he is still here with us. He only suffered minor injuries during such broadside car crash. As you can see in the picture below, the front end of his car was smashed up so badly that he practically cheated death. Now that scares me about driving since there are so many careless drivers in Michigan. I am a little apprehensive about being on the road here just because if I don't learn to be a defensive driver; I'd die. No kidding around, it's that serious here. Others don't seem to realize how life can snap out of them in a flash that they carelessly talk or text on their cellphones while driving. My! They should watch what people look like in a car crash; squashed to death. What a gruesome sight, I tell you. So please, don't drink alcohol, and/or talk/text on your cellphone while driving. Be mindful that others care about living a little longer if you don't.

I Could Be Shopping for Medical Scrubs Soon Enough

Thinking about entering the medical field for my chosen profession makes me excited because the medical uniforms nowadays are becoming fashionable. They are designed not only to be comfortable to wear but also stylish. I was just looking at these Nursing Uniforms, and I imagine that when I start my clinical work, I would be required to wear them. I like the fact that there are different colors available for different medical professionals. Scrub hats come in different colors and patterns as well, which I think is interesting. So anyway, now I know where to look for cheap nursing scrubs just in case I find myself in the medical field of work. I realized that I can be a nurse in no time at all if I do well academically. The medical field is booming, and as there are many people entering the medical field, I'm finding more and more clearance scrubs both online and offline. I would probably shop online, though, since I find a wider selection online. Moreover, there are deals that I can't always find at the local stores. I like shopping online.

Affordable Pain System

Speaking of affordable pain system. I am thinking that instead of spending the money to go to a chiropractor, I might as well spend the money on TENS Units. I'll probably choose it over a one time visit to a chiropractor because at least my treatment is on going. I'll have a device to help ease my aches and pains. For years and years now, I've been suffering from a really bad back pain. It gets unbearable sometimes but since I don't always have the money to be able to keep going to a Doctor, I ceased the moment to seek treatment. All I can think of is get a device that will help relieve my back pain. There are also times when my leg muscles hurt; especially after a long walk. So, I'll see about what the Muscle Stimulators can offer me. I need a device that will help stimulate my leg muscles and enable my blood to circulate normally. From what I heard, it is that sometimes people in general experience leg stiffness or pain due to lack of blood circulation. I believe that is what's happening with my legs. My legs are cold which tells me my blood is not circulating like it should, and I fear that it could lead to me having a stroke or a heart attack someday. So, I mustn't let my health go because health is wealth. I should really take care of myself. Right now I am waiting for a deal and this LG-TEC Dual Combo TENS Unit and Muscle Stimulator seems like a great deal. It's portable and light weight which I can carry anywhere I go, even if I decide to travel. I plan to visit my homeland someday, and it could come in handy with my aching back during a lengthy flight. The flight back home is quite enduring that I must have it to relieve my nagging back pain. There are other devices for neck pain, leg pain, back pain, and face rejuvenation system available at LGMedSupply Online, affordable enough for any of us to afford. If it's not that I have leg pains and back pains, I would like to have the handheld device for anti-aging facial rejuvenation to be able to keep a youthful appearance.

Checking Out the Beautiful Wedding Decorations

The Author of this post is Jasper Ramsey

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I went to the wedding of one of his college roommates. I hadn't been to a wedding in years, and as we've been talking about getting married lately ourselves, I was really excited to go see all of the decorations and to get ideas.

We started getting ready in the afternoon after making a quick last minute stop in the morning to pick up the gift. After we were ready to go, we set our BESTHOMESECURITY home security alarm, and drove to the church. I was surprised to see how big the wedding was! They had originally planned on having a fairly small get-together, but there were at least 300 people there. We talked to some other friends later who told us that the couple had wanted a small wedding, but that the list quickly grew as they realized how many people they actually knew.

The ceremony was beautiful and I loved the way that they used some non-religious readings for their celebration. Everything was coordinated so nicely, down to the color of the ink on the programs. The reception was even more spectacular! Apparently, the bride's mother is a wedding planner, so it's needless to say that everything was decorated impeccably. Though my own budget won't be quite as extravagant, I still picked up some great ideas that I'll use.

Shopping for Christmas at Zappos

I'm a wise shopper, so I always try to find good deals. Sometimes I find better deals online than at the local stores. There are times that I prefer shopping online; especially when I find a good website like www.zappos.com. I find quite a lot of fashionable clothing there and I am on the look out for some winter boots and cardigans for myself. I'm also looking to buy winter coats for my children, and I am currently browsing through the north face jackets, which I think are nice. I am hoping to find the ones that fit my budget. Anyway, there are quite a lot of branded items to choose from, which makes it a one-stop shopping for me. I don't have to look elsewhere. I find it convenient to shop at Zappos since live chat is available. I also like the 365 days return policy as it is something that I don't see at any other shopping websites. Plus, I can get a free standard shipping both ways when I make my purchase before December 23rd. My schedule is tight and I probably have to shop online for Christmas.

I am not always into the designer's stuff

I am not the type who is crazy about designer's stuff...LOL! However, when I spot a nicely designed item like what I have here, I wouldn't mind spending my molah. There are so many great designer's items available but I am a bit particular. I'm quite choosy. I don't care for prints, but I bought some with prints. I just don't find prints to be appealing. Designer's like Gucci, Guess, Gianni, Candies, and Kathy Van Zeeland are some of the popular designers around that I know of, so far. The bag that I have here is designed by Kathy Van Zeeland-I actually have a few bags by her. I like her dazzling decors. She always use bling-bling on her bags, which I think is cute. It's girly. I like comfort and usability in an item, and, of course, the girly stuff is a definite selling point. I like leather, and most of my bags, wallets, and shoes are made of leather. Anyway, I tried to sell some of my bags but none sold. So I gave up and decided to keep them. I guess I just don't have the patience and they are not exactly the latest in fashion...LOL!

Exploring Edinburgh

Guest written by our friend Sergio Chaney

I had long been considering a trip to Scotland when late one May evening, as I watched a documentary about Edinburgh on international channels on direct tv, I decided that I was definitely going to use my two week's vacation time to travel to this fascinating city.

After flying into Glasgow and taking the train to Waverly Station in Edinburgh, I took my baggage and walked to my hotel - the Roxburghe. It is located just off Princes Street, which made walking to many of the major attractions such as the Scott Monument, the National Gallery and the Old City (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) very easy. Walking up the Royal Mile in the Old City to Edinburgh Castle was an experience in itself. The street is full of historic architecture, including St. Giles' Cathedral, as well as small shops, pubs, restaurants, and narrow closes (alleyways) that branch off the street. The Castle itself was marvelous and provided a stunning view of the city and the Firth of Forth. Other attractions I visited while there were Holyrood Palace, Holyrood Abbey, and the Camera Obscura. Having just read “The Da Vinci Code, I also took a bus out to Rosslyn Chapel, which is the chapel that featured in the book towards the end. All in all, it was a fantastic trip, and I will definitely go back some day.

Let's re-imagine wool clothing

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

Now I am reminded of what happened when I threw my wool sweater in the washer. Wow! It shrunk...LOL! My husband warned me about it beforehand but I didn't listen. I was persistent because I was thinking that if it shrinks maybe it will fit me then. But no, it shrunk so bad that my baby could wear it...LOL! Really I was shocked to see how small it came out. How disappointing to see my adored sweater destroyed. I learned my lesson, of course, after that, which makes me apprehensive about buying any more wool sweaters if I could not wash them. However, I discovered a website featuring wool clothing that are washable and comfortable. Indeed because the company that makes them has the technology to develop soft, light weight wool clothing. So wow, I don't have to avoid buying wool clothing anymore since I know where I can get the kinds that are not itchy and uncomfortable to wear. Feeling itchy is what used to bother me when I wear a wool sweater. My children are not fond of wearing wool clothing for the same reason. Also I don't care for clothing that are not washable. I am just not willing to spend the money for dry-cleaning nor do I have the time to go through all the hassles involved. Well, anyway, isn't that nice to hear that wool clothing can be washed and can be worn without feeling itchy or uncomfortable? That is a relief because I do love wool clothing. In fact I have some that I keep for special occasions because they are precious and delicate; very soft on my skin and quiet comfortable to wear. I must say wool makes some of the best materials to use for clothing since wool breathes well and is natural.

Now that I have a job; I can say life is even better. Life is treating me well and I am enjoying my time working. My co-workers are fun and I enjoy their company. Ok, this is all for now. I think I just want to make a short update here.
