No smooth sailing for those who drink...

...and think they can operate a boat at the same time. You see, not too long ago, we heard news about a young couple who died at the nearby lake here. We have a huge lake here in Michigan, so, we often hear about people having boating accidents. Usually they drink and then operate their boats and that is very irresponsible for them to do so. Most people don't bother educating themselves with the boating rules. However, ignoring the rules and regulations can cost them their lives. So, if you are going to get a boat, you should always take time to find out about how you can avoid boating accidents. Be mindful of how your actions can affect the surrounding and people around you. This reminds me of my husband's nephew in Arizona who came by to visit us some time ago and he was talking about getting a boat. It makes me wonder if he actually bought one already. He could use some help with how to manage his boat safely. I will have to refer him to a very informative boating website and it is perfect because it is right in Arizona where he is at.
